The hard truth about why I created this challenge
The truth is... I have dealt with the many challenges that being a leader brings in some healthy and some not so healthy ways. At times in my career, I have felt disengaged, frustrated, overwhelmed, and micromanaged which led me to feeling unbalanced, unhealthy, and exhausted.
At one point in my career, the political landscape was so overwhelming and frustrating, and so toxic it lead me to make a choice to leave and put myself in a better position to make an impact with my work and in the lives of people I serve.
So what changed? How did I overcome my greatest difficulties?
Honestly, it's the same way you might, or ANYONE would.
I had to DIG DEEP. I had to find new opportunities to SERVE. Most of all, I had to see a different kind of future for myself and I had to get to work.
As a leadership coach,
I have seen other leaders deal with similar challenges with reflection and self-awareness, setting strategic direction, communicating effectively, creating a culture of excellence, ethics and integrity, measuring what matters, managing change, building capacity, and empathetically serving others, and I wanted all leaders to have an intentional way for them to reflect on their leadership and the challenges they face, without judgment, or politics.
